Friday Night: 6 - 9 p.m. - Yellow Cap Traiing

Sat. Morning: 9 - Noon - Yellow Cap Training (repeat) or  Specialty Training

Sat. Afternoon: 1-4 pm. - Specialty Training

(Specialty training includes the feeding and chainsaw units (all day Saturday) and the Shower/Laundry trailer (Saturday morning or afternoon.)  You must complete Yellow Cap Training to attend a specialty training session.

Wendy Frizzell is an author and speaker who encourages others to love God more and grow closer to Him daily.  After graduating from Baylor University with a BBA in Business/Journalism, she has worked in the corporate world and has been walking with the Lord for more than 30 years - one day at a time.  She knows that God walks with his children and wants us to draw near to him.  In her time of sharing the children’s sermon at her church, God reminded her that some of the simplest lessons are the ones we need to be reminded of often.  Wendy currently lives in Tyler with her husband and daughter.

Daniel Whitehurst, CPA ia a sole practioner with offices in Longview and Kilgore, Texas  He brings over 30 years experience in accounting, taxation and investment management to his clients.

In addition to public accounting, Mr. Whitehurst has served in executive officer positions with two ET banks with responsibility for trust and estate administration and investment portfolio management for both bank and fiduciary accounts.  He currently serves Texas Baptists as a volunteer for the Institutions Audit Group.

He has been affiliated with and a featured speaker for the Association of Baptist Foundation Executives, the Southern Baptist Business Officers Conference, the Texas Bankers Association and variety of area estate planning and tax councils including Longview, Tyler and Austin.  

The PASTOR'S Conference will cover issues that deal with minister tax issues.

The FINANCIAL ASSISTANT/CLERK Conference with deal with church tax issues.

SMITH COUNTY BAPTIST MINISTER SCHOLARSHIP - Scholarship offered through East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF).  The scholarship will be awarded to dependent children of ordained Baptist ministers serving congregations in Smith County that are members of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  It is a one-year scholarship.  Recipients may reapply as long as their parent remains a Smith County Baptist Minister.  Applications can be downloaded from www.etcf.org or ETCF, 315 N. Broadway, Ste. 210, Tyler, Texas 75702.  Deadline is March 1, 2012.
